Pack your eligible pre-loved items in any bag or box, or use a Clean Out Kit (only available at our stores).

Drop off your package at UPS or FedEx/USPS. Check your shipping label for drop-off locations.

Get a Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card based on a percentage of your items sold within 45 days.
What can you trade in?
We accept apparel, footwear and bags
From denim to dresses, sneakers to sandals, rucksacks to totes and everything in between. Not welcome? Menswear, underwear and sleepwear without original tags.
Pieces that are clean and in good condition
We won’t accept items with signs of heavy wear, stains, holes, discoloration or shrinkage. A good rule of thumb? If you’d gift it, you can trade it in.
Most brands are accepted

What’s your closet worth?
You'll receive a Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card for eligible items
that sell within 45 days — no more haggling, waiting or
dealing with unresponsive buyers. It's taken off your hands.
The value of your Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card is a percentage of
your items' resale price. If an item isn't eligible for listing,
we'll recycle it for you, or get it returned for a $10.99 fee to
cover the shipping cost. See FAQ for payout timeline.

Which brands are eligible for a Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card?
We currently only accept women's and children's apparel,
footwear and bags.
Mid-priced, premium and designer brands are eligible for
a gift card. Check out
www.thredup.com/brands
to understand which brands are accepted.
Why aren't value brands eligible for a Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card?
Some low-priced items are ineligible for an e-Gift Card
because their processing costs are higher than their
resale value. Don’t worry if you send us something that
isn’t eligible, it can be responsibly recycled.
How can I maximize the value of my Tommy Hilfiger e-Gift Card?
- Ensure items are in excellent condition. All items should be clean and freshly laundered.

Avoid sending items from the banned categories list:
- Menswear
- Close-to-body apparel without original tags (e.g., sleepwear, underwear, swimwear, socks, bodysuits)
- Jewelry, formal gowns or non-apparel items
- Counterfeit items
- Kids’ shoes (up to size 34) or baby clothes (up to 12 months)
- Focus on popular brands, categories and sizes
Use your own bag or box
Simply follow the steps under “Start Trade In”. You can
print a free shipping label and attach it to your own
packaging.
Get a Clean Out Kit
Clean Out Kits are only available in our retail stores.
Pick up a Clean Out Kit (pack up to 30 lbs!) at any US
Tommy store, excluding Hawaii. If you're unable to visit
a store, simply use any bag or box. Visit our Trade In
page and print a free shipping label to ship your items.
What is the status of my Trade In?
You will receive a notification per email every step of the way:
- When your items are on their way
- When your items have arrived
- When your items have been processed
- If you've opted for return assurance, you'll be notified when your unaccepted items are on their way back home.
- When your items have been listed
- When the 45 day listing window is complete
- When your e-Gift Card is ready (or you'll be notified if none of your items were sold)

associated with your kit. Contact

if you did not receive a gift card notification within
14 days of your completed kit email.
Total estimated time: 100 days
Together with their partners, ThredUp is committed to returning as many items as possible back into the circular economy and keeping them out of landfills. Items that are still in good shape, but don't meet ThredUp's quality standards are evaluated for inclusion in ThredUp's Rescues program. Items that don't qualify for listing or Rescue Boxes are reused or responsibly recycled by ThredUp's vetted network of textile recycling and reuse partners.
