2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand and throughout the year we have been celebrating with special events around the globe. After Tommy met Justin O’Shea, the buying director of Europe’s leading luxury online retailer mytheresa.com, the duo talked about some of the brand’s most iconic moments.
“The new generation doesn’t know about the amazing history Tommy has,” noted O’Shea. “I started looking into old images from the ‘90s and girls like Aaliyah wearing full looks with such authenticity. It’s so relevant to modern fashion.”
Tommy agreed and took a trip to the archives, ultimately choosing four of the most nostalgic styles – the bomber jacket, the crop top, a bandeau and boxer shorts – and set out to create a modern reinterpretation of sport meets luxe. We enlisted British it-girls Suki and Immy Waterhouse to model the limited-edition capsule and it’s available in the U.S. exclusively on tommy.com and at our Fifth Avenue flagship.
