Life is busy, yet one third of it is spent in bed. We teamed up with home stylist Kaylei McGaw to transform one of our favorite new bedding sets into three distinctly different style rooms using accessible accents and clever ideas. Get ready for a bedroom re-fresh that will make those dreaming hours especially sweet.
It’s a look that is favored by everyone from ranchers to Brooklyn loft dwellers, and is particularly great in modern spaces such as the gorgeous river view Manhattan apartment that we shot in courtesy of CORE. Here, Kaylei repurposed an antique wooden box as a side table, a woven basket and a ladder to store and display extra blankets, and covered the headboard with a piece of burlap from the fabric store for a homespun twist.
Kaylei chose colorful mid-century accents including long neck ceramic table lamps, a lacquered tray, and geometric artwork by Megan Adams to steer the traditional style towards contemporary. “Don’t be afraid to mix stripes and plaids, and add energy to a space with a few pops of yellow,” she notes.
The masculine versus feminine décor dilemma is a common one for couples at home. Problem solved when Kaylei added an elegant gold table, vintage accents and a pretty vase bursting with flowers.
Our BUCKAROO BEDDING is classic Tommy Hilfiger with its red, white and blue color way and reversible plaid to check pattern.
